I am not completely sure whether this film plays before the second film, or after the second film - both scenarios would work out. Anyway, being the fourth film in the series there is little left to be explained and so the action starts rolling right from the very first seconds of the film and it doesn’t run flat until a long while later. The story line is more or less the same as the first film and the roles being played out are much the same too.
In fact, that is where this film fails to work out all that well - it is too much of a copy of the original one and although its subtitle is “original parts” that really does not make it worth the cinema time - the first film is not so old that there is a whole generation of people between that one and this one. It is not a bad film and for the fans of the series this is a worthy watch but I would have hoped they had done some more work on the story line and a little on the fast pace action - it would have made for a better and more attractive film.
